Urgent Care Centers

How do you access medical care when your PCP’s office is closed?

All SeaView IPA PCP’s have a physician on-call after hours, on weekends and holidays if you have a urgent medical need that cannot wait until the office next opens. If time permits, call your PCP’s office phone number to be connected with the on-call physician. The on-call physician will be able to provide medical advice and instructions about how to manage your condition. If you need urgent or emergent care, the on-call physician will direct you to and Urgent Care Center contracted with SeaView IPA or an Emergency Room depending on which setting is more appropriate for your medical condition.

What is an Urgent Care Center and when should you use it?

Urgent Care Centers are available for an unexpected illness, injury or condition which may not be an emergency, but requires prompt relief of pain, diagnosis or treatment, within 24 hours. SeaView IPA’s Urgent Centers are available for many of the days and hours that your PCP’s office is closed. Urgent Care visits have a lower out of pocket cost to you as compared to emergency room visits.
